Amadeus recently inaugurated its new offices in the iconic Blue@Barcelona building, located on Cristóbal de Moura street in Barcelona’s innovative 22@ district. This new space is also home and headquarters for Voxel, an Amadeus company. This move symbolizes an important step in Voxel’s integration with Amadeus and offers a workplace specifically designed to foster creativity, promote connections, encourage productivity and foster a joint corporate culture.
Around the world Amadeus is creating new workspaces to unify and enhance the workplace and employee experience in line with the company’s purpose to make the experience of travel better for everyone, everywhere by inspiring innovation, partnerships and responsibility to people, places and planet.
A space designed for collaboration and well-being at work.
The new offices are designed to foster collaboration, employee well-being and hybrid work through the installation of state-of-the-art technology. The infrastructure includes spaces for individual work (ergonomic individual workstations, call centers, quiet rooms); spaces for open collaboration (formal meeting rooms of different sizes, creativity rooms, agora, spaces for one-to-one sessions); and facilities designed by and for the employee (games room, canteen, breastfeeding room and wellness room).
“The design of these offices reflects our commitment to creating a work environment that fosters personal and professional growth. This move also reinforces our integration with Amadeus, working together in the same space to take our digitalization solutions to new horizons,” explains Àngel Garrido, CEO of Voxel.
Commitment to sustainability and urban development
The Blue@Barcelona building stands out for its modern architecture, aligned with the process of transforming 22@ into a green and pacified axis. The refurbishment of Cristóbal de Moura Street includes wide pedestrian areas, a bike path and a sustainable drainage system, reinforcing the area’s commitment to green mobility and environmental care. “The design of the new offices is intended for the hybrid and flexible work model that Voxel has been promoting for years, facilitating the relationships and interaction of all the people who work at the company regardless of where they carry out their daily activities.” Voxel will close 2024 with 250 employees and plans to increase its workforce by 10% in 2025.
The opening of these offices integrates various Amadeus team members in the same space to enhance innovation. “Our integration with Amadeus allows us to share capabilities and expertise to develop more robust and advanced solutions in B2B payments, electronic invoicing and digitization processes in the travel industry. Our commitment continues to be to offer tools that generate savings and efficiency for companies, now sharing our vision with the Amadeus group,” Voxel states.
