This 31st edition of the SME awards by PIMEC, the Catalan patronal, recognizes the best corporate initiatives in Catalonia. With this recognition, PIMEC wants to award pioneering companies and demonstrate their productivity, advanced technology, innovation, creativity and commitment towards society.
Voxel Group is broadening new horizons in B2B Payments, eInvoicing and eSettlement. It offers leading solutions for the travel and HORECA industry via its baVel Platform. Also, it boosts new opportunities for corporates in VAT management solutions via DevoluiIVA and Taxecure.
The baVel platform is leading the way in electronic billing for the Travel Industry at a global scale and for the HORECA industry in Spain. baVel helps digitalise and automate eBilling transactions and payments ensuring legal requirements. This system allows you to eliminate dependence on archaic systems, reducing the billing cycle and administrative procedures and lower chargebacks up to a 90%. Currently, more than 50,000 hotels and 1,000 tour operators are using baVel’s eBilling network, processing more than 70M invoices per year. In Spain, more than 90% of hotel chains, catering providers, tour operators and travel agencies are using the platform.
Company’s figures
Last year, 2017, the Group experienced a huge growth in turnover and number of employees. Voxel turn over €10M, a 10,5% more than last year. From those, almost a 10% were used for R+D to continue innovating in payments digitalisation and automation. The staff also increased a 26%, with 31 new employees. The group currently has more than 150 employees from 24 different nationalities, and they are present in more than 100 countries.

PIMEC’s Fundraising dinner
President of Voxel Group, Xavier Ginesta, and CEO of the group, Àngel Garrido, collected the award granted by the President of Catalonia’s government, Quim Torra, and PIMEC’s President, Josep González, at PIMEC’s fundraising dinner held yesterday evening at MNAC (National Art Museum of Catalonia).
In words of Xavier Ginesta: “This award pushes us to keep innovating in eBilling, B2B payments and VAT reclaim technology”. He also added: “we are receiving this recognition on our 20th anniversary as a company. We are really proud to have grown internationally as a company without losing sight of our corporate values and have contributed to streamline the Catalan business network”.
Looking at 2018, Voxel Group expects to turn over a 25% more than last year and in order to do it, the company hired 32 new employees. Globally, the aim is to become a referent in B2B payments for the travel industry, as they have already done for eBilling processes.
